Opportunities while studying
On the Monavale campus, students often take advantage of opportunities to have fun together. Here are some highlights:
We typically arrange a weekly game of social soccer on the artificial turf at our local recreation ground.
During summer months, our outdoor swimming pool is an ideal place to cool-off!
Our grass volleyball court, concrete tennis court and basketball hoop are enjoyed each day.
MBS students also have opportunities to explore the surrounding attractions on the weekends. Many students lead outings to places like Raglan beach, the Blue Springs and the Hamilton Gardens.
In the beginning of each semester, Capernwray organizes an outing to one of our favourite local spots. Previous trips have been to Karangahake Gorge and Waihi Beach, Wairere Falls or to Mount Maunganui. We also often assist students in planning a trip to Hobbiton.
Unfortunately, the 6-week ABS Course is intensive and does not have a lot of “free time.” Students often choose to travel and explore NZ either before or after their time on this course.
